Dr. Leon is a professor in the Department of Environmental Design at Kyushu University, Japan, and his field of specialization is design education. His research interests are problem solving, thinking skills, product design education, and so on. Dr. Leon is very active in the design and technology community in the world. He visited New Zealand, Australia, and many other places for exploring the in-depth practicum of design and technology in the world. Prof. Leon used to be a Design & Technology Teacher, a subject Head and a Head of Department in the schools. Dr. Leon has many valuable experiences in training D&T teachers to teach design and technology content. Today, he will share what trainees’ teachers may need to know in teaching the design and technology/technology subject in the future.
